Maintenance and Repairs: Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of small boats, canoes, and jet skis. This includes tasks such as cleaning, engine maintenance, oil changes, lubrication, and checking various components like propellers, fuel systems, electrical systems, and hull integrity. For more complex repairs, it is often recommended to seek the assistance of a professional marine mechanic or authorized service center.
Winterization: If you live in an area with cold winters or plan to store your watercraft during the offseason, it’s important to winterize them. Winterization involves draining and flushing the cooling system, adding antifreeze, stabilizing the fuel, protecting the engine from corrosion, and covering the boat or jet ski to shield it from the elements.
About us
Service Marine has been serving customers in the Lake Fork area for over 10 years. Owners Chuck and Tonya Turner purchased the original building in 1992 and opened their doors November 2nd of that year. Since those humble beginnings, the business has made significant changes including the addition of Perry Lewis to the team as well as adding on to the building to allow for their ever expanding base of customers. Seven years after they opened Service Marine went from being sole proprietor to a corporation on March 1, 1999. An addition 40 x 60 foot building was added to the original in 1998 as well as a small pond around back, which allows the mechanics to test all motors before they are given back to their owners to ensure high quality work. |
